Brianna Shefferly played lacrosse at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) as a defender. Before the Lakers, Brianna was an All-Conference midfielder for Aquinas College. In her sophomore season she was also named honorable mention All-American. During her two years at Aquinas, her teams were 44-2. Before deciding to play lacrosse in college, Brianna excelled in her high school sports at Grand Rapids Catholic Central. During her swimming career she earned All-State honors her senior season. She also was the only girl to medal in the history of the Boys Grand Rapids City League Swim Meet her sophomore season. Brianna also played for the state runner up Cougar Ladies basketball team as a point guard. During lacrosse her team won a regional championship. Brianna earned all-conference, all-regional and all-state honorable mention for lacrosse. She ended her senior year by being named Female Athlete of the year for Catholic Central Class of 2009.
